Očima fotografa – Vålerenga – Weserstars Bremen (8:0)

Vikingové doslova zpustošili německé obranné území a získali tím třetí místo na sledge hokejovém Lapp Cup turnaji.

Němci se začátku docela drželi a převaha Vikingů nebyla tak moc patrná. V průběhu druhé třetiny však padlo snad pět branek a utkání bylo rozhodnuto. I když kluci z Brém měli vždy na střídání jen tři hráče, do poslední minuty hodně zlobili a minimálně několik branek by si rozhodně zasloužili.

Není to úplně neobvyklé, mít v sledge hokejovém týmu ženu. Nevšední však je, když hraje stejně dobře nebo i o trochu lépe než většina borců na ledě.

Při hokeji sleduje sportovní fotograf většinou puk, ale tentokrát jsem se občas neudržel a díval se, jak to ta hezká, dlouhovlasá vikingská blondýna, Lena Schrøder, většině chlapů na ledě nandává. Na druhou stranu, oni se s ní taky vůbec nepárali – viz úvodní fotka nahoře a několik menších níže. Jaké důležité postavení v týmu má dokládá i fakt, že chodila na vhazování puku do hry.

PS: Ještě jsem se díval na web a Lena byla jedinou ženou na poslední olympiádě mezi 135 sledge hokejisty! Zcela zaslouženě.

The Vikings literally ravaged the German defensive territory and took the third place on the sledge hockey Lapp Cup tournament.

The Germans were pretty good at the beginning, and the Vålerenga predominance was not so noticeable. However, during the second period, five goals or so, ended up behind the Weserstars Bremen goalkeeper and the match was decided. Although the boys from Weserstars Bremen always had only three players to rest, they were still dangerous till the last minute. Not to the last second, as they received the 8th goal just 1,2 sec before the end of the game. IMHO, they would definitely deserve at least one or more goals.

It’s not so common to have a woman in a sledge hockey team. However, it is very unusual to play as well or even a little better than most of the guys on ice.

The sports photographer watches the puck during the hockey, but this time I did not keep up and watched how the pretty, long-haired Viking blonde, Lena Schrøder, drives crazy most of the guys on ice. Check the images below. She was the only woman in the last Olympics among 135 sledge hockey players! Completely deserved.
